Shellhammer is a retail consultancy and design firm located in NYC founded by design and e-commerce visionary and entrepreneur Bradford Shellhammer. With a vast network of design & retail leaders as his collaborators, Bradford taps the best-fitting talent to collaborate on projects for brands, companies, and individuals who seek new creative direction. We help people and businesses harness and discover their creative talents. It’s that simple.
Creative direction is the essence of what we do. We will help you and your team find your identity and determine ways to share it with the world. No cookie cutter solutions. No “we know better than you do.” We can help you find your voice, your identity, your heart. And we can help you tell that story to the world.
Colors. Typography. Photography. Styling. Logos. Layouts. Print. Web. Campaigns. Ads. Yup, all of it.
We’re storytellers. Collectors. Obsessives. And we’ve built retail businesses, online and off. How do you emotionally connect with your customer? With your vendors? How can you better curate? How can you create magic in every transaction? We can help you become better storytellers. And we can help you inspire more through your assortment and how you share it with your customers.
So you sell stuff? Awesome. We love shopping. But we also love plotting how to sell and what to sell. Who’s your target customer? How do you find those customers? What categories to enter? Which to exit? How can you sell online? How can you open a physical pop-up store? Where should you open a showroom? What’s your discounting strategy? The questions are endless. So are our answers.
We’ve designed products ranging from furniture to textiles to fashion to jewelry to home goods to posters. We can help you launch a new line, create a new collection, or redesign an existing collection.
We believe interior design is as simple as filling your space with the things you love and letting them tell your own story. Our interior projects have been published around the world. We can help you with simple, yet important tasks like choosing art or finding the perfect paint colors. Or we can tackle larger projects like designing an apartment, home, or office. No project is too big or small. And parties and events? Yep, we’ve got your back on that one too.
You have something to say. But how exactly do you say it? We know how to capture the essence of a brand via blogs, social media, interviews, product descriptions, marketing copy, internal communications, campaigns, and tag lines. We’ll help you say it. Whoever your audience is.
We’re skilled culture builders and can assist you and your team on how to work better. Together. Culture is not something taught. It is something found, promoted, and nurtured. And we have ways to help your workplace spring to life.
We don’t have existing solutions. We don’t have one way of working. We understand that your creative needs are unique.
First, you’ll meet with Bradford. You’ll talk. You’ll eat (likely). Maybe a glass of wine? Maybe two? Fine, coffee will work too.
Then he’ll tap his extensive creative network to find the perfect collaborators for your project. No one project has the same partners. Why would they? Some people are better at certain things than others.
Then we get to work. We get inspired. We roll up our sleeves. And we make things. We create.
